What we collect
- What you send us through the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, site postcode, the type of work, timing, your message and any photos or drawings you attach.
- What you tell us by email, phone or text, or during a site visit.
- If you become a customer: the address of the job and the details we need for quotes and invoices.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. This is a step you’ve asked us to take before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
- To carry out the work and keep in touch about it during the job (contract).
- To keep business and tax records as the law requires (legal obligation).
We won’t send you marketing, and we don’t use your information for automated decisions or profiling.
Who we share it with
Only with the services we need to run the business, such as our email provider and website host, and, where relevant to your job, our accountant. If our website form sends your enquiry by email, it passes through our hosting and email providers. We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t turn into a job are deleted within 12 months. Records for jobs we carry out are kept for as long as we need them for guarantees, insurance and tax (normally six years after the end of the tax year).
Cookies
This website doesn’t set tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. If we add privacy-friendly visitor statistics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies), we’ll update this notice.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email or call us. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk (opens in a new window), though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
